Andavi Collection is a winner in Interior Design magazine’s 2017 Best of Year product competition. The awards, announced by Interior Design as part of its Best of Year ceremonies in New York this December, is another of the highest recognitions for product design.

Andavi Collection Wins Best of NeoCon Gold and Best of Competition Finalist

Andavi Collection, designed by Annie Lee and David Rush, won Contract magazine’s 2017 Best of NeoCon Gold Award for the Case Goods product category. The award, announced by Contract as part of its Best of NeoCon breakfast ceremonies in Chicago this June, is one of the highest recognitions in North America for product design.

5D Studio Designs Domino for TUOHY

Domino’s arms are wide and low, providing a place for a computer or a casual place to sit and converse. Arms can be placed at the ends, at set intervals or along a run.

Dan Tuohy Interview on State of the Industry

Better balance sheets, better sales. That’s what the trade association for business and institutional furniture manufacturers is experiencing.
The industry is “reasonably healthy,” said Dan Tuohy, past president of the Business & Institutional Furniture Manufacturers Association and chief executive officer of Tuohy Furniture in Chatfield, Minn.

“We are experiencing our sixth to seventh year of modest recovery following the 2008-2009 [downturn] and companies continue to grow.”

BIFMA, the voice of the commercial furniture industry, forecasts lower single-digit growth in 2016 and slight improvement next year.

Dan Tuohy Completes Term as President of BIFMA Board

The board of directors at the Business and Institutional Furniture Manufacturers Association (BIFMA) has announced that Sylvan Garneau of Group LaCasse will be the incoming President upon the completion of Dan Tuohy’s term in 2016. The announcement was made at BIFMA’s annual meeting in Chicago on June 15, as part of NeoCon 2016.
